Hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive (HMPSA) is the core material that enables the "peel-and-stick" functionality of self-adhesive  3D Peel and Stick Wall Panel, and its application spans across the entire lifecycle of the wall panel, including production, storage, installation, and long-term use.

During the production stage, the hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive is uniformly coated onto the back of the wallpaper layer via a roll-coating/slot die process, and then covered with a release liner (also known as glassine paper) for protection, forming a three-layer "wallpaper layer – adhesive layer – release liner" sandwich structure. This structural design ensures that the wall panel comes pre-adhesive from the factory. When users are ready to apply it, they simply peel off the release liner and stick it directly onto the wall, completely eliminating the cumbersome process of mixing adhesive on-site that is required with traditional wall panel.

In terms of performance, this adhesive offers the following features:

• Excellent initial tack: Enables instant positioning upon wall contact, with no prolonged pressing required;

• Moderate peel strength: Provides secure bonding while still permitting repositioning and reapplication during installation;

• Good oil-bleed resistance: Effectively prevents oils from migrating from the wallpaper backing to the surface, avoiding unsightly stains;

• Superior die-cutting performance: Delivers clean, smooth edges during slitting and contour cutting, without stringing or adhesive oozing.

Collectively, these characteristics ensure that the wallpaper is easy to install, durable in service, and visually appealing over time.

Recommended Applications

Primarily used for wall stickers and wallpaper tapes, as well as other pressure-sensitive adhesive applications requiring high initial tack and moderate peel strength.
